This book contains the text of the Restyled Federal Rules of Evidence that took effect in December 2011, including the 2013 and 2014 amendments to Federal Rules of Evidence 801 and 803. The book includes the legislative history of the rules, including the Advisory Committee Notes and excerpts from congressional committee reports. In addition, it contains the text and legislative history of rules and amendments that were recommended by the Supreme Court but rejected by Congress, as well as pending, proposed amendments to Federal Rules of Evidence 803(16) and 902 that are tentatively scheduled to take effect in 2017.

This book is designed primarily for use as a Supplement to Evidence: A Problem-Based and Comparative Approach. However, this book can be used to supplement any evidence textbook, and is also useful to practitioners in need of an up-to-date copy of the Federal Rules of Evidence.
