Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs (OMCGs) are increasing in popularity around the world and, in turn, have been receiving increased political and policing attention as potentially criminogenic organizations. This volume continues the work of the first volume by treating the issue of OMCGs as a global field of study. Clubs have arisen in almost every region of the world, but academic analysis of OMCG crime and culture has focused on Australia, Canada, the USA and Western Europe.
This volume adds to the first volume in providing a truly global perspective of the crimes and organization of the OMCGs. It contains analysis of clubs in Africa, the Middle East, Russia and Scandinavia, adding to the first volume's work on the Caribbean, South America and East Asia. There are also chapters on developments explaining the nature of support clubs, OMCGs links to the military and policing responses in Australia and Canada. These two volumes provide a comprehensive work of the history and social positioning of these groups and will help the reader to better understand the role of OMCGs in the 21st century.
